Senior Spotlight: Girls Basketball
Meet the Seniors!
Congratulations to our girls basketball team, Class of 2020!
Maddie Andrews
Maddie has played basketball all four years at Lutheran Westland, and she lettered for three of those years. Maddie was also a team captain this year and all-academic for four years. Her favorite memory was Coach Brown’s ‘dad jokes’. Maddie plans to attend Wayne State University to study nursing next year. She has also participated in volleyball and softball during her time at Lutheran Westland.
Hannah Brown
During Hannah’s four years of playing basketball at Lutheran Westland, she became the record holder for most blocks in a season, was team captain and lettered three years. Hannah’s favorite memories were playing at Crisler Arena and also being coached by her dad. She plans to attend Northern Michigan University where she will study nursing. Hannah has also played soccer and volleyball.
Emilie Fremder
This year, Emilie beat the school record for most three-pointers scored in a career at Lutheran Westland. She’s played basketball all four years and lettered each year, as well. Emilie has been academic all-conference all four years and 1st team all-conference last year. She plans to attend Michigan State to study actuarial science. She’s also played volleyball and soccer.
