For your convenience, you can apply online! The application fee is $150 through January 31. After that date, the fee increases periodically, so be sure to apply quickly!

Follow the link below and create a new LHSA portal account to complete an application for your student. Upon completion, you will be prompted to pay the non-refundable application fee based on the schedule below. Your new LHSA portal username and password will also be used to pay tuition once the application process is complete.

We encourage current 8th graders to take part in our “Warrior for a Day“ program. This program allows 8th grade students to see what life as a Warrior is like by shadowing a current Lutheran Westland student. Use the button below to set up a “Warrior for a Day” experience.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2023 (9 AM - 12 PM)

This event is the ideal opportunity for your child to get a sense of what it means to be a Warrior. 7th and 8th graders (and parents!) are invited to experience life as a member of the Warrior family at Lutheran Westland’s annual Future Warrior Day! This exciting day will be packed with fun, food, and fellowship!! 

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 17, 2024

Tour our facility, meet some of our talented school leaders, and discover why Lutheran Westland is the outstanding high school option in Westland, Michigan! Guided tours & FAQ roundtable discussion. Parents and students of all grades are welcome.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2023 (9 AM) & SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2023 (9AM)

This important test helps determine the best course options for your student as you look ahead to scheduling classes for 9th grade.  The test is free and all supplies will be provided by the school on the day of the test.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2024 & THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 29, 2024 (7PM - 8PM)

All incoming 9th grade Warriors and their parents should attend. You will get the opportunity to meet and talk with Lutheran Westland’s Principal, Mr. Lorenzen & Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Unger about life at Lutheran High Westland. Students will receive information on class offerings and register for 9th grade classes. Feel free to attend whichever date works best & there is no registration necessary!

TUESDAY, MARCH 5, 2024

Join us at 3:30 pm on March 5th, 6th, or 11th for our Geometry Readiness Test! The Geometry Readiness Test indicates if an incoming freshman has mastered the required skills of Algebra I and is ready to begin high school math in Geometry. Be sure to bring two pencils, a calculator, scrap paper, water, and a snack.

AFTER APRIL 15, 2024

Freshmen must have a physical exam on file before school starts in August. The physical exam must be completed AFTER April 15, 2024. The MHSAA (Michigan High School Athletic Association) Medical History Form is available here.

Current physical information must be on file in the office, along with a copy of immunization records, in order for your child to participate in Physical Education classes and all athletics. There are no exceptions.

MONDAY, JUNE 10, 2024

Registered students and their parents will be able to learn more about the extracurricular options Lutheran Westland has to offer. Coaches will be handing out summer schedules with weight room hours, open gyms, and camp dates. Drama and music groups will also be sharing information. Join us!

AUGUST 2024 (TBD)

All new students and their parents should plan to attend this important event!  Key information will be shared and students will have the opportunity to meet their teachers and classmates, walk through their schedules, and get their locker assignments.
